Beet-tomato soup

Ingredients to make Beet-tomato soup

  • 1 small beet 2 tomatoes
  • 1-2 Garlic cloves
  • 1 tsp Rock Salt
  • 1 cup or more water
  • 1 small ginger chopped
  • 5-6 crushed garlic
  • 1tsp pepper
  • 1 tbsp sugar (optional)
  • Finely chopped fresh green coriander
  • 1 tbsp fresh cream
  • Croutons

How to make Beet-tomato soup

  1. Peel the beetroot and dice them.
  2. Roughly chop the tomatoes and ginger.
  3. Pressure cook everything above adding water for 2 whistles .
  4. After cools down , grind the mixture in smooth paste/puree.
  5. On medium flame add the puree to a pan or pot.
  6. Add grated garlic , salt , pepper add more water if desired . Add sugar too.
  7. Cook for 2-3 minutes .
  8. Serving time top it with chopped coriander ,fresh cream and croutons.
My Tip: Adjust the spices according to your taste.
