Cherry Tomato Foccacia

Ingredients to make Cherry Tomato Foccacia

  • APF 1 cup
  • Whole wheat flour 2 cups
  • Milk 3/4 cup
  • salt 1/2 tsp
  • sugar 1 tsp
  • Active yeast 2 tsp
  • Milk powder 2 tbsp
  • Olive oil/ butter 2 tbsp
  • For Filling
  • onion slices 1 can caramalise them too
  • Pizza sauce 5 to 7 tbsp
  • Mozzarella 1 cup
  • Basil 1 tsp
  • Oregano 1 tsp
  • For topping
  • Cherry tomatoes halved 12
  • capsicum sliced 1
  • olives sliced
  • fresh basil leaves
  • Basil 1 tsp
  • Oregano 1 tsp
  • garlic powder 1 tsp

How to make Cherry Tomato Foccacia

  1. Take the milk and warm it.Add sugar and yeast and beat well
  2. Keep it aside for 5 to 10 mins till its bloomed and is frothy
  3. Seive the flours. Add salt and the yeast mix and form a dough
  4. Keep adding the oil 1 tbsp at a time and knead the dough
  5. It will be a sticky dough
  6. Keep kneading it till its smooth
  7. Apply oil and let it rise till it doubles
  8. Punch the dough and divide it in two
  9. Take a spring pan and put 1 half ofvthe dough and spread it
  10. Apply pizza sauce( i have shared the recipe in my earlier post)
  11. Spread cherry tomoatoes onions and basil leaves
  12. Add herbs
  13. Now put the top layer and try to overlap the bottom layer with the top layer
  14. Add the i have added cherry tomatoes and sliced capcicum
  15. Let the bread rise for 30 mins
  16. Bake at 180 degrees preheated oven for 35 mins
  17. Remove from the spring pan and let it cool
  18. Enjoyed as it is or with soup

My Tip:

Knead the dough well. Can use red and yellow peppers as well.
