Hot Garlicky Babycorn

Ingredients to make Hot Garlicky Babycorn

  • Baby corns. 15
  • Chopped garlic. 2 tbsp
  • Red chilli paste. 1 tbsp
  • Cubed onion. 1 big
  • Corn flour. 4 tbsp
  • Pepper powder. 1 tsp
  • Chilli flakes. 1/2 tsp
  • Sugar. Pinch
  • Salt to taste
  • Tomato ketchup. 3 tbsp
  • Vinegar. 1 tsp
  • Vegetable stock. 1 cup
  • oil for deep fry

How to make Hot Garlicky Babycorn

  1. Boil the baby corns and cut into diagonally into 1/2 inch.
  2. Sprinkle red chill flakes, pinch of salt, pepper powder and 2 tbsp of corn flour on the baby corns and mix it well.
  3. Heat sufficient oil in a wok and deep fry the baby corns until it becomes crispy.
  4. Mix 2 tbsp of corn flour in a 1/2 cup of water.Keep aside.
  5. Heat 3 tbsp oil in a wok, in this add chopped garlic and stir it for 1/2 min .
  6. Now add cubed onions​ and fry it for 1 min,then add red chill paste and saute it for 2 min.
  7. Now add vegetable stock and let it boil then add tomato ketchup, vinegar, sugar and salt and continue to cook.
  8. Now add fried baby corns and mix it well.
  9. Now add corn flour mixture and cook it till the sauce begins to thicken.
  10. Serve with hot rice, or Indian bread.
