ABOUT French Chicken RECIPE

A yummy dish found in most of the restaurant menus across Bangalore. Was thinking how this dish is prepared... After several trial and errors are up with the recipe approximtely matching the restaurant taste.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. To marinate:
  2. Salt
  3. 250 gms chicken boneless (cut length wise - strips)
  4. 1 tablespoon red chilli powder
  5. Corn flour + maida (1:1 ratio)
  6. 1 teaspoon ginger garlic paste
  7. 1 egg
  8. Little red food color
  9. 1/2 Lemon juice
  10. For Tempering:
  11. Oil + oil for deep fry
  12. Finely chopped garlic
  13. Finely chopped ginger
  14. curry leaves
  15. 4 green chillies
  16. 1 Tablespoon tomato sauce
  17. 1/2 teaspoon soya sauce
  18. Vinegar [little]
  19. Finely chopped cashew nuts

Instructions

  1. In a bowl take corn flour and maida. Add an egg and mix well. Add in salt, red chilli powder, chicken, red food colour, ginger garlic paste, lemon juice. Mix well. Marinate it for 1 hour.
  2. In a kadai add oil. Heat it. Deep fry the marinated chicken and keep aside.
  3. In a pan add little oil. Once it's hot add chopped garlic, chopped ginger and fry. Add in Curry leaves, green chillies, cashews and fry.
  4. Add in tomato sauce, soya sauce, vinegar. Fry it. Add in the fried chicken. Mix well.
  5. Serve hot.
