Tomato pickle is all time favarite pickle,i gives you a wonderfully tangi and spicy pickle

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. 500 grams - Tomato washed, chopped,and dried
  2. 1 tablespoon - Tamarind pulp
  3. 3 - Red chilli
  4. 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
  5. 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
  6. 1 teaspoon turmaric powder
  7. 1 pinch Asafoetida
  8. 1 teaspoon chana dal
  9. 1 teaspoon Urad dal
  10. 1 teaspoon red masoor dal
  11. 1 inch ginger (pest)
  12. 10 -12 Garlic cloves (pest)
  13. 1/2 teaspoon fenugreek seeds
  14. 1/2 teaspoon sounf
  15. 1/2 cup oil
  16. 3 teaspoon salt
  17. 1/2 Teaspoon Sugar

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a kadhai
  2. Add asafetida powder, musterd seeds,red chilli, sound,chana dal, urad dal,red masoor dal stair a minute
  3. Add the chopped tomato and saute well
  4. Add tamaraind pulp, salt , chilli powder, turmaric powder, sugar and cook till water has almost eva porated
  5. When the oil starts to float and tomatoes have changed colour
  6. Off the flame
  7. Tomato pickle is ready,cool completely and transfer to a jar and use as required.
