Ingredients to make Kanda poha

  • Chivda or flattened rice 250 gram
  • 2 onions
  • 2 tablespoons peanuts
  • 2 teaspoon curry patte
  • 2 green chillies
  • 1 potato
  • 1 tomato
  • sugar 1 teaspoon
  • salt 1 teaspoon
  • Red pepper powder half teaspoon
  • 1/4teaspoon turmeric powder
  • lemon juice 2 teaspoon
  • 3..4 teaspoon oil

How to make Kanda poha

  1. Finely chop the onions. Cut the potatoes and tomato in small pieces
  2. Soak poha for 2 minutes and strain them using a sieve.
  3. Heat a pan with some oil.
  4. Shallow fry peanuts and keep aside.
  5. Now add the potatoes and shallow fry them. strain and keep aside.
  6. Now add mustard seeds in the remaining oil, in the pan.
  7. Add the curry leaves and the green chillies. Now add the chopped onion and saute them.
  8. Add tomatoes and saute.
  9. Add soaked poha
  10. Add potato and peanuts
  11. Add the salt and powdered spices. Add the fried peanuts and potatoes.
  12. Mix well
  13. Add sugar
  14. Turn off the flame
  15. Add lime juice
