Tangy spicy Aaloo chaat is something that we kokanis relish in Iftaar.Baby potatoes whole or normal size potaoes can be used too.Kokam and red chilli make these amazingly tasty ,cummin powder and curry leaves the aroma and flavour.Do them fresh and enjoy

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 250 grams baby potatoes
  2. 5-6 pieces Kokam fresh or dried as available
  3. 1 tblspn red chilli powder (hot or mild as per choice)
  4. 1 tspn cummin powder
  5. 1 tspn Mustard Seeds
  6. curry leaves
  7. 2 tblspn oil
  8. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Boil potatoes with care do not overboil ,cool and peel
  2. Ready all spices along
  3. Soak the kokam shown for 5- 10 minutes
  4. Add salt and grind to a paste
  5. Now heat oil in a kadai
  6. Splutter mustard seeds and curry leaves
  7. Add the ground kokam
  8. Add red chilli powder and cumming powder too
  9. Stir cook for 2 minutes
  10. Now add boiled potatoes and mix well
  11. Cook stirring for 5 minutes
  12. Put off flame and remove to serve in a dish
  13. Enjoy as is or cold
  14. Garnish with corriander chopped fine
