Corn Uttapam

Ingredients to make Corn Uttapam

  • corn boiled 1 cup
  • gram flour ½ cup
  • green chillies 5 strips
  • salt 1 tsp
  • coriander leaves ¼ cup
  • onion 1 small, chopped
  • cumin seeds 1 tsp
  • garlic 3 cloves
  • Rice flour 1 tbsp
  • turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
  • water 1/4 cup
  • Veg. oil for smear the uttapam

How to make Corn Uttapam

  1. Grind the sweet corn kernels, gram flour, rice flour, salt, green chillies and garlic in a mixer till smooth add water to make batter.
  2. Transfer the sweet corn mixture into a bowl, add all the remaining ingredients i.e coriander leaves, chopped onion and cumin seeds, turmeric powder and mix well to make a batter of dropping consistency.
  3. Heat a non-stick tava and grease it using a little oil. Pour a ladleful of the batter on the tava and move the spoon in a circular motion to make a round uttapam.
  4. Now, smear a little oil around the edges and cook on a medium flame till the uttapam turns light brown in colour from both the sides.
  5. Repeat with the remaining batter to make more uttapams, here, corn uttapam is ready to serve, Serve it with coconut chutney or green chutney. Enjoy!!!
