ABOUT Spicy chicken changezi RECIPE

Chicken lover special. It is spicy red latpat chicken which can be served with some roti or rice.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Chicken 1kg
  2. Onion 1/2kg
  3. Vinegar 2tbsp
  4. Salt to taste
  5. Turmeric powder 4 tsp
  6. Sabut Red Chilli 8pcs
  7. Ginger
  8. garlic
  9. Cloves 5pcs
  10. Cinnamon 1inch
  11. Black cardamoms 2pcs
  12. Green cardamoms 2pcs
  13. Bay leaves 2pcs
  14. Heeng 1pinch
  15. Curd 2tbsps
  16. Oil more than half cup
  17. Kaju 6-7pcs
  18. Posto 1tbsp
  19. Kashmiri Chilli powder 2tbsps
  20. Ghee 1tbsp
  21. Garam masala powder 1tbsp
  22. Cumin powder 1tsp
  23. Black pepper powder 1tsp
  24. Coriander leaves
  25. Water 1cup

Instructions

  1. Marinate chicken with vinegar for 10-15mins.
  2. Then wash the chicken and marinate with turmeric powder, Curd, salt, cumin powder, black pepper, some onions and little oil, grated ginger, garlic
  3. Then boil half cup water and add Sabut red Chilli n switch off the stove. After cooling grind them. (for moe spiciness)
  4. Now take pan or kadahi on the flame add oil, cumin, heeng, bay leaves, black and green cardamom, Cinnamon, grated ginger, garlic and remaining onions.
  5. Saute the onions when the onion turns to brownish add salt and red Chilli paste and cover the lid.
  6. Turn the stove on low flame. After that add marinated chicken and cover the lid.
  7. After 15 mins add grinded Kaju Posto paste and fry them in low to medium flame.
  8. Sprinkle little salt again, Garam masala powder, Kashmiri mirch powder for reddish colour and 1cup of water for thick gravy.
  9. Cover the lid and leave on medium heat for cooking till tender. And in last add ghee on it and switch off the flame.
  10. Garnish with Coriander leaves and serve hot with roti, plain paratha or naan.
