ABOUT KASUNDI PANEER TIKKA MASALA WITH ONION GRAVY RECIPE

Kasundi panner tikka masala gravy prepared with paneer chunks marinated with mustard paste , curd and desi spices and then roasted on tawa on very low flame and then simmered in rich onion gravy is one of the most relished recipe . We can prepare it for any special occasion

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Panner - 250 gm ( cut into 1/2 " square)
  2. Curd - 2 tablespoons
  3. Mustard paste - 1tablespoons
  4. Chick peas flour - 2tablespoon
  5. Mustard oil - 2 tablespoons
  6. Tomato puree - 1/2 cup
  7. Onion paste - 1/2 cup
  8. Butter - 1tablespoons
  9. Asafoetida - 1/2 teaspoon
  10. Garam masala - 1teaspoon
  11. Turmeric powder - 1teaspoon
  12. Dry fenugreek leaves powder - 1teaspoon
  13. Red chilli powder - 1teaspoon
  14. Ginger and garlic paste - 1tablespoons
  15. Salt to taste
  16. Sugar - 1teaspoon
  17. Red and Yellow capsicum - 2 no ( cut into small pieces)

Instructions

  1. To prepare the panner tikka masala: Take hung curd in a big bowl add ginger and garlic paste 1/2 teaspoon , chick peas flour , turmeric powder and salt . Mix everything well .
  2. Now add the paneer chunks and capsicum into the masala . Stir gently to coat the chunks nicely with the masala . Now keep these coated paneer chunks in refrigerator for 15 minutes to set nicely .
  3. Arrange red capsicum , yellow capsicum , onions and paneer in given order on small wooden skewers .
  4. Heat non stick pan and spread 1 1/2 tablespoons oil on it . When tawa is hot enough shallow fry skewers paneer and vegetables over medium heat .
  5. Cook both side by turning skewers until all sides are light brown. This will take approx 3 - 4 minutes. Prepare the onions gravy, heat a pan over a medium heat and 1teaspoon mustard oil and butter to it.
  6. When the oil is heated add cumin seeds to it. When seeds are crackles add onions paste and fry well then add turmeric powder and chilli powder fry well. Add the tomato puree, ginger and garlic paste and kasuri methi powder. Saute the masala until the oil starts separating from it.
  7. Add the salt and sugar and stir constantly there is slightly change colour add 1/2 cup of water to make a smooth gravy. After a while add garam masala powder and stir to mix well. After 4 minutes turn off the flame and transfer it to a serving bowl.
  8. Garnish with super scrumptious and spicy KASUNDI PANEER TIKKA MASALA WITH ONION GRAVY is ready to serve.
