Maladu/Maa Laddoo

Ingredients to make Maladu/Maa Laddoo

  • 1+1/2cups - roasted gram/pottukadalai
  • 1/2 cup - powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup ghee
  • 10 - cashew nuts (chopped)
  • 1/2 tsp - cardamom powder

How to make Maladu/Maa Laddoo

  1. Grind roasted gram to a fine powder. In a mixing bowl, add the roasted gram flour, powdered sugar, and cardamom powder.
  2. Fry the chopped cashew nuts in one tablespoon of ghee until golden brown. Add the cashew nuts to the flour mixture in the mixing bowl.
  3. Heat the remaining ghee in low flame, slowly add the ghee to the flour mixture. When the mixture is warm enough, start making small lemon round balls.
  4. Finish the remaining flour by making the laddoos. Arrange the laddoos in an air tightened box. Enjoy.
