Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 litre full fat milk
  2. ¼ cup basmati rice
  3. 5 to 6 tbsn sugar or as required
  4. 1/8 tspn cardamoms - powdered
  5. 6-7 Almonds
  6. 1 PINCH SAFFRON
  7. Rose petal for garnish

Instructions

  1. *Wash nd soak the rice in enough water for 30 minutes.
  2. *Heat milk and let it come to a boil. meanwhile drain the rice and keep aside.once milk starts boiling reduce the flame and add the rice
  3. *Stir and simmer the milk and let the rice grains cook.
  4. *After the rice is added, add the sugar stir and continue to stir often so that lumps are not formed.
  5. *when the rice is almost 3/4th done, add the almonds, cardamom powder and saffron. cook further till the rice grains are completely cooked. the rice kheer would also thicken by then now switch off the gas.
  6. *You can serve the rice kheer, hot or warm. pour in serving bowls garnish with almonds nd rose petals.
