Savoury semolina and onion muffins

Ingredients to make Savoury semolina and onion muffins

  • semolina - 1 cup
  • curd - 1/2 cup
  • ghee - 2 tbsp
  • salt
  • red chilly powder - 1 tsp
  • sliced onion - 2
  • baking powder - 1 tsp
  • mustard seeds - 1 tsp
  • urad dal - 1/2 tsp
  • Refined oil
  • pepper powder - 1 tsp

How to make Savoury semolina and onion muffins

  1. Dry roast the semolina until they smell fragrant, leave it aside to cool for sometime.
  2. Now mix the baking powder, salt and ghee to the semolina.
  3. Add the curd as well and give this a mix.
  4. Now add the red chilly powder to the above mix and whisk.
  5. Mix until everything is mixed. Now add required amount of water to the above mix to make it like a pouring consistency.
  6. Now heat some oil in a pan, add the mustard seeds and urad dal, once they splutter, add the sliced onion , pepper powder and saute for few minutes and keep aside.
  7. Now mix half of the onion mix to the semolina mix.
  8. Pour the semolina batter into the greased moulds, top them with rest of the fried onion.
  9. Serve them.

My Tip:

Instead of atta you can use oat flour also . If you want you can add other vegetables also with onion .
