Ingredients to make french onion soup

  • 5 big onions
  • 3-4 garlic cloves
  • 1/4th tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp Mixed Herbs
  • 1 ltr vegetable stock
  • Salt to taste
  • 4 tbsp Olive oil
  • 4 tbsp white vinegar
  • 1 small bowl of purpose flour
  • 1/2 bowl butter
  • 1 brown bread toasted well till crisp in garlic and herb butter
  • 1 medium bowl grated mozzarella cheese

How to make french onion soup

  1. start to heat up a pan with olive oil into it...
  2. add the crushed garlic into it saute for 30 secs.. add the onions saute till it turns brown...
  3. add the vegetable stock, let it come to boil. add the mixed herbs, back pepper and salt to taste..
  4. in a different pan add butter and plain flour saute till the raw aroma diminishes and it turns golden in colour. keep the flame on a medium heat while doing so...and then add it to the soup...add white vinegar and boil for another 2 minutes
  5. while serving take the soup in a oven safe soup bowl...top it up with the toasted brown bread..top it up with mozzarella cheese and bake for 2 minutes or till the cheese turns golden in a preheated oven at 200 degree celcius
  6. Delicious french onion soup is ready to serve...
