Malai chumchum

Ingredients to make Malai chumchum

  • 1 litre - milk
  • 2 cup - sugar
  • 1/2 kg - mawa
  • 2 tsp - corn powder
  • 2 tsp - lemon juice
  • 4-5 - elaichi
  • yellow and color of your choice

How to make Malai chumchum

  1. Boil milk, add lemon juice and when it starts to curdle, add 1/2 cup water. Place a muslin cloth over a strainer and strain the curdled milk through the cloth covered strainer.
  2. Take this cottage chess and knead well, make cheena in oval shape or any shape desired.
  3. Boil water and sugar in a pan and when this syrup going to boil. Let it cool.
  4. Dip the cheena in this water sugar syrup, peel a slice of butter over chumchum and malai a layer over it
  5. Garnish as your choice and serve.

My Tip:

Roast mawa for better preparation..

Please give detailed recipe information.the recipe sounds incomplete because i could not understand when to add corn powder and what to do with 1/2kg mawa...
