Ingredients to make Stuffed onion 65

  • Baby onions 7
  • Oil for frying onions
  • For masala stuffing
  • coriander powder 1 tbsp
  • Dry mango powder 1 tbsp
  • Roasted cumin powder 2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder 1 tsp
  • Chat masala 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Mustard Oil 1.5 tbsp
  • Ginger garlic green chilli paste 1/2 tbsp
  • For batter
  • All purpose flour 2 tbsp
  • cornflour 1 tbsp
  • Red chilli powder 3/4 tbsp
  • Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Water to make the batter
  • For 65 masala
  • Oil 1.5 tbsp
  • Whole Cumin seed 1 tsp
  • Whole mustard seed 1 tsp
  • chopped onion 2 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Ginger garlic green chilli paste 1/2 tbsp
  • Curry Leaves 2 tbsp
  • Beaten yogurt 4 tbsp
  • Red chilli powder 1/3 tbsp
  • Chopped coriander leaves 3 tbsp

How to make Stuffed onion 65

  1. Take washed peeled onion.
  2. Give them a '+' sign cut
  3. Take all masala for stuffing in a bowl and give it a good mix.
  4. Stuff the masala mix inside the cut part of the onions.
  5. Make the smooth batter in a bowl.
  6. Heat the oil in pan.
  7. Coat the onion with it and deep fry in hot oil very gently.
  8. When it become golden brown, take out the onion from oil into a tissue paper.
  9. Remove extra oil from pan and add whole cumin and mustered seed.
  10. When crackling add chopped onion.
  11. Add salt to taste.
  12. After 2-3 minutes add ginger garlic green chilli paste and saute it.
  13. Add curry leaves and saute it.
  14. Add beaten yogurt.
  15. Add red chilli powder.
  16. Stir the gravy and put the lid on it.
  17. After few minutes,open it and add fried baby onions.
  18. At the end add chopped coriander leaves on it and when it is completely dry, switch of the flame.
  19. Serve it hot as a snack or starter.
My Tip: Fry it very gently otherwise coating can be displaced from the onion.
