ABOUT Onion Cheese Pockets. ( An INNOVATIVE Heavy Sunday Breakfast) RECIPE

Sunday, a werk awaited off. We get up late. OMG, Feeling very hungry. . so need to eat something tempting and heavy with a big cup of Coffee. So I made this Onion Cheese pockets. Lots of Onions, carrot and Cheese. Isn't it Tempting ??

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Onions 3 ( big) around 350 grms
  2. Carrot 1 ( should be half cup after grating)
  3. Coconut grated 1/2 cup
  4. Coriander leaves finely chopped 1/4 cup
  5. Garlic crushed 1 tsp
  6. coriander powder 1 tsp
  7. chilli powder 1 tsp
  8. Roasted Cumin Powder
  9. Garam masala 1/2 tsp
  10. Turmeric 1/4 tsp
  11. Cheese Cubes 2
  12. Salt to taste.
  13. Oil 2 tsp
  14. Corn flour for making slurry. 1 tbsp
  15. Wheat flour 1 1 /2 cup
  16. Turmeric 1 /4 tsp
  17. chilli powder 1 tsp
  18. Salt to taste
  19. Oil 2 tsp ( to add on to dough)
  20. Oil to apply while making pockets 2 tsp
  21. Butter / olive oil for shallow frying.

Instructions

  1. Chop Onions, heat oil in a pan and add Onions to saute
  2. Add crushed garlic, Coriander powder, Turmeric, chilli powder, Roasted Zeera powder and saute.
  3. Now add grated Carrots and Grated Coconut and adjust salt. Saute for 2 minutes and turn the gas off. Add Coriander leaves finely chopped.
  4. Mix everything well. Grate Cheese cubes and add in little warm mixture. Keep the mixture to cool
  5. Take wheat flour, add salt, Turmeric and chili powder. Add 2 tsp oil and form a dough.
  6. Roll a roti, apply little oil as we apply while making Paratha.
  7. Take 1 tsp of filling and keep in the center. Fold from one side.
  8. Apply Cornflour Slurry and fold another side.
  9. Apply Slurry and fold other two sides to make a pocket.
  10. Now heat a nonstick griddle, spread little 1/4 tsp oil/ butter on it.
  11. Keep the prepared Pocket on hot griddle.
  12. Turn when first side is cooked little brownish. Apply oil / butter on other side too.
  13. Roast both side nice brown. Take out in a serving plate.
  14. Like that shallow fry all the Pockets and serve hot with Tomato ketchup and a cup of hot Coffee.
  15. So your Sunday heavy breakfast is ready to serve.
