Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Moong dal mangodi 100gm
  2. Chopped Potatoes 2 medium
  3. Chopped tomato 1 large
  4. chopped green chillies 1
  5. Chopped coriander leaves
  6. Hing a pinch
  7. Garam masala 1/2 tspn
  8. Turmeric powder 1 tspn
  9. Coriander powder 1 tspn
  10. Mango powder 1/2 tspn
  11. Salt to taste
  12. Desi ghee 2 tbsp

Instructions

  1. Heat 1 tbsp ghee in a wok and roast mangodi till it turns golden brown.
  2. Slightly crush the mangodi with a pestle.
  3. In a pressure cooker heat remaining ghee, add hing and cumin seeds. When it starts crackling add turmeric powder, coriander powder, garam masala and mango powder. Stir and add green chillies and tomatoes. Stir fry it for few seconds.
  4. Now add potatoes and mangodi. Stir it.
  5. Add 2 cups of water and salt to taste.
  6. Now close the lid and cook it for one whistle. After that lower the flame and let it simmer for about 10 minutes.
  7. Switch off the flame and let lid pressure release on it's own. Now garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
  8. Serve hot with rice and phulkas.
