Custard with Fresh Fruits

Ingredients to make Custard with Fresh Fruits

  • Full cream milk – 1litre
  • Custard powder – 3 to 4tbspn
  • Sweet condensed milk – 2 to 4tbspn
  • Sugar – 2 to 3tspns
  • Vanilla essence – few drops
  • Assorted fresh Mixed fruits – 2cups

How to make Custard with Fresh Fruits

  1. Heat milk in a heavy bottom vessel. Reduce 1litre milk to 3/4th litre on medium flame by stirring occasionally. Dissolve custard in 50ml cold milk. Mix well and set aside.
  2. Add sweet condensed milk, vanilla essence and sugar to milk. Pour the custard mix slowly into milk and keep stirring to avoid lumps.
  3. Cook on low flame for few minutes. (Incase the custard is very thin add little dissolved custard mixture. And incase of thick custard add in some plain milk).
  4. Filter the custard using sieve with medium holes.
  5. Refrigerate for 1hour. Add fruits. Add jelly or ice-cream. (optional)
  6. Serve cold.
  7. Use fresh cut fruits. Portion the custard. Add fruits to custard that will be consumed the same day. Do not mix fruits and custard and have a day or two later. The colour and properties change.
  8. Add sugar according to your preference .
My Tip: Choose fruits like pomogranate, mango, banana, orange, apple, grapes, strawberry. Add dry fruits (optional)
