Ingredients to make Sago pudding

  • Ingredients for pudding -sago-1cup soaked for 3to 4 hours
  • Sugar-1tablespoon
  • Rose syrup-1tablespoon
  • Cardamom powder -1pinch
  • Water-1cup
  • Ingredients for rabdi- full fat milk-1ltr.
  • Sugar-2 tablespoons
  • Cardamom powder-1/4teaspoon
  • Kesar strands -8-9 sock in milk
  • Mawa-100gm
  • Almonds-6-7 chopped
  • Cashewnuts-4-5 pieces

How to make Sago pudding

  1. For pudding -Heat 1cup of water in a pan.when its start boiling,add soaked sago, sugar,cardamom powder and mix well.
  2. Cook on slow flam untill the sago turn transparent and soften.
  3. Now switch of the flam and add rose syrup and mix well.
  4. Now pour the sago in greased jelly moalds and keep in refrigerator for 3to 4hours
  5. For rabdi-heat milk in a heavy bottom pan.
  6. When its start boiling add sugar,cardamom powder and soaked kesar strands.
  7. Now add mawa and cook on slow flam (with stirring )for 30 minutes
  8. When its reduce to half of its original quantity and became thik .switch of the flame.and keep in refrigerator for 1 hour.
  9. Now demoald the sago.
  10. Pour chilled rabdi on serving plate.place sago in centre.garnish with almonds and cashewnuts...serve chilled
My Tip: You can use khus syrup or any other flavour instead of rose syrup,,
