Ingredients to make Healthy Malpua

  • Whole wheat flour(atta) : 3 Cups
  • Sooji : 1 Cup
  • Grated Jaggery : 2 Cups
  • Curd : 1 tbsp
  • Milk : 2 Cups
  • A pinch of salt
  • Sugar : 1/2 Cup
  • Water : 1/2 Cup

How to make Healthy Malpua

  1. In a mixing bowl add atta, sooji, grated jaggery, curd, milk, pinch of salt and ghee.
  2. Whisk and keep aside for 6 hours.
  3. Heat little ghee in a non-stick pan. Pour 1 tbsp batter & make a small pan cake.
  4. Shallow fry till both the sides are evenly brown.
  5. Sugar syrup is made by boiling 1/2 cup sugar & 1/2 cup water. Get a 1 string consistency. Dip in warm sugar syrup.
  6. Serve with Rabri.

My Tip:

Malpua is not deep fried in this recipe. Make sure there is a balance of sugar, rabri can be made mildly sweet.
