Ingredients to make Surati special umbadiyu.

  • 2 small sweetpotatoes( roundly cut)
  • 10-12 baby potatoes
  • 300 gm surati fresh green papdi
  • 200 gm yam/kan/ratalu
  • 1 greated ginger
  • 4-5 green chili
  • Pinch of turmenric powder
  • Black paper
  • Jira powder
  • Dhana jira powder
  • Lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 1/4 tsp fennal seeds
  • Salt to taste

How to make Surati special umbadiyu.

  1. Take all the masala in one jar crushed it and prepare a paste.
  2. Wash all the veg.with access of water with its peel.
  3. Potato cuts in two part, kan and sweet potatoes in rounded piece and apply paste in all the vegitables..
  4. Arrange all the vegetable in bowl and coverd it with cotton cloths.
  5. For making umbadiyu in steam take any steamer or use any big utensils which that bowl can be placed. Take 2 cup of water in big utensil and placed it in flame for heating Place wired stand in it for keeping bowl on it.
  6. Now arrange bowl veg. bowl cook it on full flame for 5-10 minute on slow flame. You can cook it for 5 min more if u fill it is still uncooked.
  7. Serve hot with fresh garlic -coriander leaves and green chilli chutney.
  8. So surati special umbadiyu are ready to serve.
