Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. 1 cup fresh coconut grated
  2. 1/2 cup sugar
  3. 1/4 cup milk
  4. 2 tablespoon malai from milk
  5. 1/2 teaspoon ghee for greasing the thali
  6. 3 tablespoon ghee
  7. 1 teaspoon cardamom powder
  8. finely chopped pistachios and almonds

Instructions

  1. In a pan heat 2 tablespoon ghee on medium flame, add grated coconut and roast for a few minutes.
  2. Add milk which should be sufficient enough to completely immerse the coconut.
  3. Add malai and stir it well.
  4. Add sugar and keep stirring the coconut mixture constantly.
  5. After 5 minutes add the remaining 1 tablespoon ghee.
  6. Keep stirring the mixture till it leaves the sides of the pan and becomes thick in consistency.
  7. Add cardamom powder and stir.
  8. Remove the mixture from the flame and spread it on a greased thali evenly.
  9. The mixture will set in less than 5 minutes.
  10. Allow it to cool and cut into small pieces.
