Left over cooked rice recipe - easy and quick

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Tamarind -lemon size
  2. Left over cooked rice - 1 Cup
  3. Turmeric-a pinch
  4. Sambar powder - 1 tbsp
  5. Curry leaves - handful
  6. Mustard seeds jeera urad dhal - for tadka
  7. Salt as required

Instructions

  1. Soak tamarind in warm water for few minutes.
  2. Pour the tamarind extract into the rice and add salt,turmeric,sambar powder and mix well and leave it overnight.
  3. Next day morning, add one tablespoon oil, add mustard,urad dhal,curry leaves,jeera and let it splutter,added the rice and mix well..
  4. Yummy Tamarind rice ready.
