A Popular indian flat bread which is made over clay oven and is a must have with Indian side dishes.

Tandoori Roti

Ingredients to make Tandoori Roti

  • 200gms Wholewheat flour
  • 1/2tsp Baking powder
  • 1tbsp yoghurt
  • 1cup water
  • salt to taste

How to make Tandoori Roti

  1. Sieve the flour, mix water, salt and baking powder and mix well. Add curd, mix well and prepare a stiff dough. Make sure that the dough is not hard, otherwise the chapatis will not be soft.
  2. Cover the dough with Muslin cloth and keep it aside for 30 mins. Preheat the tandoor or tandoor for 2mins.
  3. Divide the dough into small balls. Roll out the balls on a flat surface and also dusting them with a bit of flour in a circular shape.
  4. Bake the roti in the tandoor for 5mins or oven until it is cooked.
  5. When the roti is done, smear them with melted butter and serve hot.
