ABOUT Mango Rasgulla RECIPE

Mango Rasgulla is an experimental recipe of mine and was liked by my husband. Got the recipe idea from one of the posts on social media and innovated it.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. 1 litre full fat milk
  2. 1/2 cup vinegar
  3. 1 cup thick mango puree
  4. For sugar syrup:
  5. 1 cup sugar
  6. 3 cup water
  7. 1 pinch of saffron
  8. For garnish:
  9. kesar strands
  10. pistachios sliced

Instructions

  1. To make chenna, boil the milk and add little vinegar mixed with water. slowly the milk will start curdling.
  2. Strain the chenna and wrap it up in a muslin cloth. Put a heavy weight on the muslin for 20 minutes so that all the whey water gets drained.
  3. Meanwhile make sugar syrup by adding sugar, water and saffron in a pot and boiling on slow flame.
  4. Remove the chenna from the muslin cloth and knead it till smooth. Shape into small round balls.
  5. Add rasgulla balls in sugar syrup one by one.
  6. Cover it and boil it for 15-20 minutes at low medium flame. When it doubles up in size take it out from pan, add some syrup over it.Garnish it with sliced pistachios and saffron.
  7. Serve chilled.. Happy cooking..:blush::blush:
