ABOUT Layered Cashew Phirni RECIPE

Phirni is a dessert made with milk and rice but here its loaded with cashews and different flavours. Enjoy new and exotic phirni.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Milk 3 cups
  2. Rice 2 tablespoons
  3. Cashews 8-10
  4. Cardmom powder 1/2 teaspoon
  5. Water 2 teaspoon
  6. Khus syrup 2 tablespoons
  7. Strawberry crush/syrup 2 tablespoons
  8. Saffron syrup/kesar sharbat 2 tablespoon
  9. Chocolate syrup 2 tablespoons
  10. Cherry for garnish
  11. Chopped roasted almonds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Soak rice for 30-40 minutes.
  2. After 30-40minutes, remove exess water from rice, add cashews and grind it.
  3. Add 2 teaspoon of water, grind again and make a smooth paste.
  4. Take a pan add milk sugar cardmom powder and cook.
  5. As milk starts boiling add rice paste in it and stir continuously.
  6. Cook it on low flame till mixture gets thick enough and turn off the flame.
  7. Let the mixture cool down properly and than divide it in to four equal parts. Add khus syrup, strawberry crush, chocolate syrup, saffron syrup in divided portions .
  8. Mix well, all the different four flavors of phirni.
  9. For serving take a glass add chocolate phirni at the base.
  10. Add strawberry phirni over it, than pour khus flavoured phirni and finally add saffron flavored phirni.
  11. Garnish it with almonds, cashew and cherry. Serve chilled.
