Malai Milk Cake

Ingredients to make Malai Milk Cake

  • Flour 1 cup
  • Powder sugar 1 1/2 cup
  • Thick malai (milk topping) 1/2 cup
  • Cold milk 1/2 cup
  • Vanilla essence 1 teaspoon
  • Few drops of colour optional
  • Baking powder 1/2 teaspoon
  • Baking soda 1/4 teaspoon
  • Tutty fruity handful

How to make Malai Milk Cake

  1. Take malai and sugar in a bowl and mix well.
  2. Sieve dry ingredients 2-3 times and keep aside.
  3. Gradually add half milk, half maida and mix gently.
  4. Add the remaining mixture and mix well.
  5. Add vanilla, color and gently fold.
  6. Add tutty fruity coated in dry flour into batter.
  7. Line an 8"cake tin with paper. Grease side and paper.
  8. Transfer the batter into the tin.
  9. Bake in a preheat oven at 180 degrees C for 40 minutes.
My Tip: Cool and slice next day as the crumbs are very soft.
