ABOUT Kheeranand Rajasthani Dessert RECIPE

It is a milk-based dessert. Basically, it is eaten hot but you can also enjoy it cold.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 2 cup full cream milk
  2. 1/2 cup basmati rice
  3. 1/2 cup sugar
  4. 2 tablespoon chopped almonds
  5. 2 tablespoon raisins
  6. 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder
  7. 4-5 strings saffron

Instructions

  1. Boil the milk.
  2. Add the washed rice in the milk.
  3. Stir continuously with a spoon.
  4. After 20 minutes add rasins and 1/2 almonds.
  5. Stir continuously so that the dry fruits don't stick to the bottom and turn the flame on low.
  6. Add sugar and 1/8 tspn cardamom powder after 10 minutes and stir.
  7. When the rice absorbs the milk completely then switch off the gas.
  8. Garnish with almonds and saffron and serve in a bowl.
