Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Potato - 2 medium
  2. Beetroot - 2 medium
  3. Capsicum - 2 medium
  4. Peas - 1/2 cup
  5. Beans - 5-6
  6. Carrot - 2-3
  7. Cabbage - 1/2 cup
  8. Green chilli - 5-6
  9. Chopped Onion - 1 large
  10. Chopped Tomato - 2-3
  11. Grated ginger - 2 tbsp
  12. Bread crumbs - 2-3 cup
  13. Besan - 1 cup
  14. Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
  15. Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
  16. Chaat masala - 1 tsp
  17. Black salt - 1/2 tsp
  18. Salt to taste
  19. Sugar to taste
  20. Oil for deep frying
  21. For Dry Masala
  22. Whole cumin seeds - 1 tsp
  23. Whole coriander seeds - 1 tsp
  24. Whole cardamom - 2
  25. Whole black pepper - 1 tsp
  26. Whole clove - 3-4
  27. Whole bay leaves - 2
  28. Whole cinnamon stick - 2 inch

Instructions

  1. Dry roast all the ingredients for the dry masala and grind them to a powder masala. Keep aside.
  2. Peel and wash all the veggies and make a coarse paste with the help of a chopper or a food processor. (If you don't have any, cut as small as you can).
  3. Now heat some oil in a pan and saute onions till golden brown then add chopped tomato, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, chaat masala, salt, sugar and cook for 5 minutes with a little bit of water.
  4. Add chopped vegetables, stir it in very well and cook till veggies are cooked properly. Now add 1 tsp of dry masala and 5-6 tbsp breadcrumbs, mix it well. Cook till it releases oil.
  5. Take it off from the flame and let it cool a little bit. Add besan, water, salt, red chilli powder and chaat masala and make a thin paste out of it.
  6. Heat oil in a kadhai for deep frying. Now take some of the veggie mixture in your palm and give it your favourite shape, then dip it into besan mix and then into the breadcrumbs and repeat the process again.
  7. Make all the chops like this and deep fry them till golden brown. Take them out on a tissue paper and sprinkle black salt over it. Serve with your choice of salad and sauce.
