Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. soaked chana daal 1 cup
  2. grated coconut 1/2 cup
  3. poppy seeds paste 4 Tbsp
  4. mustard paste 2 Tbsp
  5. mustard oil 2 tbsp
  6. chilly paste 1 Tbsp
  7. sugar 1 Tsp
  8. Salt according to taste
  9. banana leaf for steaming
  10. thread for packing

Instructions

  1. Take a big bowl and mix the all the ingredients.
  2. Cut a banana leaf in 5 pieces.
  3. Take a single piece of banana leaf. Put a little bit of mustard oil over it.
  4. Take a small quantity of the mixture. Fold the leaf and seal it with the thread.
  5. Take a steamer & steam for 15 to 20 minutes.
  6. After steaming, cut the thread and open the seal.
  7. Now it's ready to be eaten with steamed rice.
