Ingredients to make Bread Raita (Yogurt With Bread )

  • Plain thick Yogurt – 2 cups
  • Bread – 2 slices
  • Roasted Cumin powder – ½ teaspoon
  • Red Chilli powder – ¼ teaspoon
  • Onion (chopped) - 1/2
  • Tomato (chopped) - 1
  • coriander leaves chopped
  • Green chillies, thinly sliced – 1-2
  • Vegetable oil – 1-2 tablespoon
  • Sugar - 1½ teaspoon
  • Salt to taste

How to make Bread Raita (Yogurt With Bread )

  1. Slice the ends of the bread.
  2. Cut them into desired shapes. I have cut them into cubes.
  3. Take a pan, add the oil, fry the bread cubes till they become golden brown and crisp. Keep aside.
  4. In a mixing bowl, take a thick yogurt. Add the sugar, salt, roasted cumin powder, green chillies and red chilli powder, blend it well.
  5. Now add chopped onions, tomato and coriander leaves and mix them well.
  6. Keep this yogurt mixture in refrigerator.
  7. Just before serving the raita add the bread cubes.
  8. Garnish with cumin, red chilli powder and coriander leaves.
