Minced Meat Omlette / Kothukari Omlette

Ingredients to make Minced Meat Omlette / Kothukari Omlette

  • Minced meat - 100 gram
  • egg - 2
  • onion - 1 (finely chopped)
  • green chillies - 2 (finely chopped)
  • turmeric powder -1/4 tsp
  • Garam masala -1/4 tsp
  • red chilli powder -1/2 tsp
  • fennel seeds powder -1/2 tsp
  • salt to taste
  • oil - 2 tbsp

How to make Minced Meat Omlette / Kothukari Omlette

  1. Wash and drain the water from the minced meat.
  2. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a kadai, add the chopped onion, green chillies and saute it very well. Add all the spices, salt and the minced meat. Add 1/4 cup water and cook it well and then let it cool down.
  3. In another bowl beat the eggs with a pinch of salt. Add the cooked meat. Mix it well.
  4. Heat oil in a kadai, pour one big laddle of egg mixture. Cook on one side and gently flip the omlette and cook on the other side as well.
  5. Serve it hot with rasam or sambar rice.

My Tip:

Don't add the cooked meat hot in the beaten eggs. For vegetarians instead of meat you can add spring onions, potato, carrot or/and zucchini.
