Restaurant Style Tandoori Chicken

Ingredients to make Restaurant Style Tandoori Chicken

  • Chicken thighs - 4
  • For Marination:
  • Tandoori masala - 1/4 cup
  • Lemon juice - 1 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Ginger Garlic paste - 1 tbsp
  • Red colour - a pinch
  • Curd - 2 tsp
  • Crushed Kasoori methi - 1/2 tsp
  • Mustard Oil - 1 tbsp
  • Melted butter for brushing

How to make Restaurant Style Tandoori Chicken

  1. Wash and clean the chicken thoroughly.
  2. In a bowl, add the rest of the ingredients and mix well. Apply the masala paste all over the chicken so that the chicken is well coated.
  3. Let it marinate for 8 hours or preferably overnight.
  4. Preheat the oven at 210°C and place the marinated chicken in a grill tray.
  5. Place it in the oven and grill for 20 minutes. In between you flip the chicken for cooking it on both the sides as well.
  6. Make sure the chicken is cooked tender and juicy.
  7. Take care not to burn the chicken. Overcooking the chicken makes it hard. Finally brush the chicken with butter or oil.
My Tip: Here I used store bought tandoori masala, instead of tandoori masala you can add red chilli powder and coriander powder too, instead of colour you can also use paprika powder.
