Special Idly Sambar

Ingredients to make Special Idly Sambar

  • For powder:
  • coconut 2 tablespoon
  • red chilly 5 numbers
  • coriander seeds 2 tablespoon
  • Toor dal 1 tablespoon
  • jeera 1 teaspoon
  • pepper 1 teaspoon
  • Other ingredients:
  • turmeric Powder
  • salt
  • curry leaves
  • fenugreek seeds 1/2 teaspoon
  • Shallot 20 numbers
  • ginger chopped 1 teaspoon
  • garlic chopped 1 teaspoon
  • potato cooked and mashed 2 numbers
  • tomatoes cooked peeled and mashed 2 numbers
  • coconut milk of one coconut

How to make Special Idly Sambar

  1. Heat a pan and fry coconut, red chilly, coriander seeds, sambhar dal, jeera and pepper and powder it.
  2. In a pan add water and cook tomatoes, peel it and mash it.
  3. Heat a pan add oil and fry fenugreek seeds. Add curry leaves.
  4. Add sliced shallots, ginger and garlic, saute.
  5. Add mashed potatoes.
  6. Add ground powder.
  7. Add tomatoes.
  8. Add salt turmeric powder.
  9. Add second coconut milk.
  10. Cook well and add first coconut milk
  11. Add chopped coriander leaves and serve hot.

My Tip:

Take three parts of coconut milk. First milk should be thick.
