Kaddu( Red pumpkin) Kheer

Ingredients to make Kaddu( Red pumpkin) Kheer

  • 250 grams red pumpkin(boiled and mashed)
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2-3 teaspoon ghee
  • 1/2 teaspoon elaichi powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dalchini powder
  • dry fruits (what ever you like) Kaju, kismis, badam etc
  • few rose petals
  • 500 ml milk(thickened)

How to make Kaddu( Red pumpkin) Kheer

  1. In a thick hot pan add ghee.
  2. Then, add mashed pumpkin, stir well.
  3. Fry it well, then add sugar and dry fruits.
  4. Stir it till all sugar melts.
  5. Now, add milk, dalchini powder, elaichi powder.
  6. Stir occasionally.
  7. When you notice that pumpkin has mixed well with milk and a thick consistency has formed, it is done.
  8. Pour it in a dish decorate with dry fruits,rose petals.
  9. Serve chilled or hot.
