Ingredients to make Masala onion tomato uttapum

  • Rice flour. 2 cup
  • Urad mogar dal. 1 cup
  • Chopped onion. 2-3 big sizes
  • Chopped tomatoes. 2 cup
  • Grated carrots. 1 tsp as per uttapum
  • Garam masala for garnishing
  • salt as per needed

How to make Masala onion tomato uttapum

  1. Soaked urad dal for 2 hr.now mix rice flour . Prepare batter add 1 tsp soda & kept it overnight for fermentation.add salt .
  2. Now chopped onion, :tomato:,grated carrots.green chilli.
  3. Prepare peanut chatney. First roast 1 bowl peanuts. In frying pan add oil& all spices ,half tomato,half onion,salt & do stirr fry . Add above fried material to roasted peanut in mixer jar. Just add little bit water to grind for chatney
  4. Now take dosa pan . Spread batter. From top add some tomato, onion (chopped ) , grated carrots,pour garam masala from top.
  5. Now just spread 1 tsp oil to all sides & cover it3-4 min
  6. Then do opposite ( upside down) for roast the top side.
  7. Now spicy masala uttapam is ready to serve with peanut chatney.
