Ingredients to make Malai Cake

  • 1 cup malai
  • 1and1/2 cup all purpose flour/maida
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder
  • 1 cup curd
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 50 grams white chocolate
  • 50 grams amul cream
  • 4 tablespoon cocoa powder

How to make Malai Cake

  1. In one bowl add all purpose flour.
  2. Add baking powder.
  3. Add baking soda.
  4. Add cardamom powder.
  5. Sieve this 2 times.
  6. In other bowl take curd.
  7. Add sugar.
  8. Add milk.
  9. Add malai.
  10. Mix till sugar melts.
  11. Add this wet mixture to dry one.
  12. Mix properly.
  13. Grease tin with little ghee and sprinkle maida.
  14. Remove extra flour by tapping tin.
  15. Now pour batter.
  16. Bake in preheated oven for 35 minutes.
  17. Temperature should be 160 degrees centigrade.
  18. Temperature varies so please check after 25 minutes.
  19. Prick toothpick in between cake.
  20. If it comes out clean cake is baked.
  21. If not keep for 5-7 minutes more.
  22. Cool down cake completely.
  23. After cooling dust cocoa powder on cake.
  24. Keep cream on slow flame.
  25. As it boils switch off gas.
  26. Add chopped chocolate to cream and leave.
  27. Now mix it and cool for sometime.
  28. As it cools pour in pipping bag and make design on cake.
