ABOUT Kurkuri Bhindi Ki Kalonji RECIPE

Bhindi Ki Kalonji makes for an excellent side vegetable dish with roti and dal in northern India. Bhindi Ki Kalonji can also be served as starters. This is a light dish.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Bhindi 250 grams
  2. Garlic paste 1 teaspoon and minced 4-5 pieces
  3. Salt to taste
  4. Saboot methi 1 teaspoon
  5. Turmeric 2 teaspoon
  6. Kashmiri mirch powder 1 teaspoon
  7. Hing one pinch
  8. Green chillies 4 pieces
  9. Oil ( I used mustard oil)
  10. Sesame 1 teaspoon

Instructions

  1. Rinse, dry and trim both the ends of the bhindi.
  2. Cutting halves from both the sides.
  3. Heat oil in a pan or wok. add methi, hing and green chillies.
  4. Now put the bhindi's in pan and cook on a low flame.
  5. Add crushed garlic and stir for a second. Now add turmeric, kashmiri mirch powder.
  6. After 5 minutes add salt and garlic paste. When bhindi is half cooked turn the flame on high for crispiness and stir.
  7. At the end sprinkle white sesame.
  8. Serve hot with the chapatis.
