Oysters are super rich in zinc, which is required for strengthening the immune system of your body. Other minerals and vitamins like calcium, iron, mangnesium are also present in oysters. In konkani, we call it kalwa or kalva and they just taste amazing in any recipe. Today I am going to show you the quick and easy way to cook them. This is the Goan(Indian) way to shallow fry these oysters.
Ingredients to make Kalwa Fry / Pan Fried Oysters
- Big size oysters- 15-20
- Rava/ - 1/2 cup
- Rice - 2 tbsp
- For shallow frying 2-3 tbsp
- Garam - 1 tsp
- Red chili powder- 1 tsp
- Haldi/ powder- 1 tsp
- - 1 tsp
How to make Kalwa Fry / Pan Fried Oysters
My Tip:The 1st step is important otherwise the spices won’t remain properly attached to oysters while frying.You can also pat them dry with paper towel if you have less time.
