Stuffed Potol with soya

Ingredients to make Stuffed Potol with soya

  • Parval/Potol 8 medium sized
  • Potato boiled 2-3 medium sized
  • Soya chunks or small granules 2 cups
  • Green chilli 3to 4
  • Ginger Garlic paste 2 tablespoon
  • Tomato cubed 1
  • Turmeric powder 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin powder 1 1/2 teaspoon
  • Dhania powder 1 teaspoon
  • Kasuri methi 1/2 cup
  • Cashew 100 gms
  • Poppy seeds 50 gm
  • Sugar 1 tablespoon or as per taste
  • salt as per taste

How to make Stuffed Potol with soya

  1. 1. Scoop out the seed and flesh of the parval
  2. 2. For the stuffing, smash the potato and add the cooked soya chunks, add half spices, chillies, the stuffing will be a bit sweet. Don't add water.
  3. 3. Add oil in a wok/kadai, saute the stuffing
  4. 4. Stuff the paravals, when the stuffing is a bit, you can also add grounded cashew and raisin in the stuffing.
  5. 5. Fry them, before adding to gravy. ( u can seal the mouth with wooden tooth pick) . Fry golden brown.
  6. 6. For gravy, add oil, red chilli,ginger garlic paste,add tomato, add excess stuffing (if don't have add cashew and poppy seed paste later), add water,add salt and sugar, let it boil. Add the parvals. Let it cook for 10 mins.
  7. 7. Add shahi garam masala before serving. Suggested garnishing.
My Tip: U can use the extra stuffing for gravy, or use cashew poppy seed paste for gravy.
