ABOUT Papittu RECIPE

Milk is rich calcium. Very important for our bones. As soon as we hear milk anywhere we picture ice-cream, milkshake, sweet, payasa, desert etc in our mind. Puttu is a traditional and most popular breakfast dish of kerala. I Prepared a smilar food called Papittu which is the little sweeter version of papittu.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Rice rava......2 &1/2 cup
  2. milk.......3 cup
  3. water.....1 cup
  4. Cardamom powder.....1/2 spoon
  5. Grated coconut.....2 cup
  6. Cashew....10
  7. salt........1/2 spoon
  8. sugar....3 spoon
  9. Ghee...2 spoon

Instructions

  1. Mix rice rava, milk, water, cardamom powder, sugar, salt and leave it aside for 10 minutes.
  2. Add 11/2 cup grated coconut and mix them.
  3. Greased ghee in the cooker container.
  4. Now pour the mixture in to the cooker container.
  5. Now spinkle the remaining grated coconut on the mixture.
  6. Sprinkle cashew on them.
  7. Next steam cook it for 20-25 minutes.
  8. Cook on high flame for 10 minutes and on low flame for anther 10-15 minutes.
  9. After cooling cut the papittu and serve them with chutney or curry.
