Magaj Makhana Kheer

Ingredients to make Magaj Makhana Kheer

  • 3 cups whole milk
  • 2 tablespoon milk powder
  • 1/2 tablespoon kesar
  • 1/4 cup magaj( watermelon seeds)
  • 1 cup makhana( lotus seeds)
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • cardamom powder
  • pista or any other chopped dry fruits for garnishing

How to make Magaj Makhana Kheer

  1. In pan dry roast makhana and magaj, don't over roast otherwise colour will be changed.
  2. Now crush roasted magaj and makhana in plastic bag.
  3. In deep pan take milk, add milk powder and mix well.
  4. Now boil milk on low flame and strain continuously.
  5. Add crushed makhana, magaj in boiling milk and mix well.
  6. Add kesar and elaichi powder.
  7. Add sugar and cook for two minutes on low flame.
  8. Switch off the gas.
  9. Garnish ready makhana magaj kheer with chopped dry fruits or with caramelize makhana.
  10. Serve cool or on room temperature.
  11. Enjoy!
