Ingredients to make Paneer Makhmali

  • 600ml -milk
  • 1medium -onion( sliced)
  • 1-green chilli (chopped)
  • 3cloves -garlic
  • 4-cloves
  • 2 -green cardomom
  • 1inch piece-cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup -cashewnut pieces
  • 1teaspoon-sugar
  • Salt -to taste
  • 1/4kg -cottage cheese cubes
  • 1tablespoon -oil

How to make Paneer Makhmali

  1. Boil milk in a thick bottomed vessel along with onion,garlic,green chilli,cardamom, cinnamon, cloves and cashew.
  2. Simmer it and keep stirring occasionally until it reduces to half of its quantity.
  3. Cool it down completely.
  4. Blend this thick milk mixture in a mixie to a smooth consistency.
  5. Seive it .
  6. In a non stick pan add 1tablespoon of oil and pour this mixture.
  7. Cook on low flame ,add sugar and salt.
  8. Once it is boiling add the cottage cheese cubes and simmer for a while.
  9. Serve decorated with silver foil(wark),cherry,green chilli and tomato slices.
My Tip: Can put boiled or grilled chicken pieces in this gravy for a great chicken dish.
