Ingredients to make Restaurant Style Mixed Daal

  • chana daal- 3/4 cup (soaked in water for 5 to 6 hours)
  • urad daal- 3/4 cup (soaked in water for 5 to 6 hours)
  • moong daal- 3/4 cup (soaked in water for 5 to 6 hours)
  • tuvar daal- 3/4 cup (soaked in water for 5 to 6 hours)
  • salt- to taste
  • onions- 1 sliced
  • tomatoes- 2 finely chopped
  • coriander powder - 1 1/2 teaspoon
  • cumin powder- 1 / 2 teaspoon
  • turmeric powder- 1/2 teaspoon
  • red chilly powder - 1 teaspoon
  • garam masala- 1/2 teaspoon
  • cinnamon stick- 1
  • bay leaf- 1
  • water- 3 glass
  • For Tadka:
  • onion- 1 finely chopped
  • ghee- 1 tablespoon
  • red chilly- 3
  • garlic- 2 finely chopped
  • cumin- 1 teaspoon
  • oil- 2 tablespoon

How to make Restaurant Style Mixed Daal

  1. In a pressure cooker, add all the above mentioned things and cover the lid.
  2. Give it 6 to 7 whistles or cook for 30 minutes.
  3. Open the lid and mix it very well.
  4. In a pan heat oil and ghee. Add cumin, red chilly, onions and garlic.
  5. Pour this tadka in daal and mix well.
  6. Serve daal hot with chapati or zeera rice.
My Tip: You can use any choice of your dal.
