About Rasabali

Rasabali is a famous sweet dishes of odisha consist of deep fried flattened chena soaked in flavoured milk.. IT is also included in chapanvog in jaganath tample.

Ingredients to make Rasabali

  • Cottage cheese 250gm
  • Milk 500gm
  • suji 1 tablespoon
  • flour 1 teaspoon
  • Cardamom powder 1teaspoon
  • Sugar 200gm
  • Oil for fry
  • Salt to taste
  • Saffron 1/4teaspoon

How to make Rasabali

  1. Drain extra water from cottage cheese. .
  2. . Add suji, flour,and baking powder.make a smooth dough out of this.
  3. Divide the dough in small equal part.
  4. Roll the ball like rope and turn it back to give a wheel shape.
  5. .Heat oil in a pan and deep fry the round shape rasabali till golden brown from both the side.
  6. .Meanwhile heat another pan and boil 2 cups milk .
  7. .Add sugar, kesar and cardomom into the milk.
  8. Now add the fried rasabali in milk and boil it for 5 to 8 minutes.
  9. .serve hot or cold.
My Tip: Can add cream to milk .
