Homemade Pizza

Ingredients to make Homemade Pizza

  • For Base:
  • 3 cups All purpose flour
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 2 tsp Instant dry yeast
  • 3 tsp Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • For Pizza Sauce:
  • 1 Big tomato
  • 1 tbsp Tomato paste
  • 1 ½ tsp Tomato ketchup
  • 3 Cloves garlic
  • 1tsp Oregano leaves
  • ½ tsp Basil leaves
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Olive oil
  • 1 cup Water
  • For Topping:
  • ½ kg boneless chicken
  • Pepper powder or Tikka masala
  • ½ tsp Salt if using pepper powder
  • 1 tsp Olive oil
  • 1 Medium green capsicum
  • 1 Big onion
  • ½ cup Olive rings
  • Grated cheese

How to make Homemade Pizza

  1. Warm the milk and sprinkle yeast and sugar on it and keep aside for 10 minutes. In a bowl take flour, salt and add milk-yeast mixture and start kneading slowly.
  2. Add some olive oil and knead it till soft and elastic dough. Keep it aside for 2 hours covered with a wet cloth.
  3. For pizza sauce heat oil in a pan. Add chopped garlic and sauté till the raw smell goes away. Now add chopped tomatoes and sauté till tomatoes are really soft.
  4. Add tomato paste and tomato ketchup and mix well. Add water, sugar and salt. Mix well.
  5. Add oregano and basil leaves and mix well. Boil the mixture and boil till the mixture thickens and it comes to the consistency of the sauce. Turn off the flame and allow it to cool.
  6. Cut the chicken into small cubes. Heat oil in a pan, add the chicken pieces, tikka masala or pepper powder. If using pepper powder add salt or if tikka masala then no need to add salt.
  7. Saute well till the chicken is cooked. Turn off the flame. Dice the onions, slice the capsicum and keep aside.
  8. Now take out the dough and punch out the air. Divide it into two halves. Grease pan with a little olive oil and flatten one portion of the dough on the pan with your hand as per your required thickness.
  9. Now spread some pizza sauce on top of the flattened dough, put some prepared chicken pieces. Add the capsicums, onions and olives.
  10. Sprinkle the grated cheese evenly over this. Repeat the same with other portion of the dough. You can make other toppings with sausages or vegetables.
  11. Preheat the oven at 200°C for 15 minutes. Now bake the pizzas at 165°C for 20 minutes.The bottom should be light brown in color and the cheese on top melts and becomes light brown. Cut the pizzas with pizza cutter or knife and serve.

Following ur recipe i preheated for 20min and my oven stopped suddenly. I think for otg u need to preheat it for 20min. For normal microwave oven 5min preheating is enough
