Chicken Spring Rolls

Ingredients to make Chicken Spring Rolls

  • 1 tblsp soy sauce
  • 1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp cornflour
  • 1 tblsp chilli garlic sauce
  • 200 grams minced chicken
  • 4 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 100 grams boiled noodles
  • 1/2 cup green onions chopped
  • 1 cup shredded cabbage
  • 1/2 cup shredded carrots
  • 2 tblsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tblsp corn flour
  • 1/4 cup water
  • Spring roll sheets
  • Oil to fry

How to make Chicken Spring Rolls

  1. Mix soy sauce, chill garlic sauce, pepper and cornflour with the minced chicken in a bowl. Let marinate for 10 minutes.
  2. Heat 1 tblsp oil in a large pan. Stir fry minced chicken until brown. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same pan add green onion, garlic and ginger and cook for 30 seconds. Add in the carrots, noodles and cabbage. Stir well and turn the heat to medium and add the chicken and stir for 2 minutes. Set aside to cool completely.
  4. In a bowl mix together the remaining corn starch and water. Keep aside.
  5. Take your roll wrapper and fill a corner with 2 tbsp of the chicken, noodle vegetable mix. Apply a bit of the cornflour and water mix to ensure you have sealed the edges well.
  6. Heat oil on high. Deep fry the spring rolls till golden brown. Drain on a paper towel. And serve hot with sweet chili sauce.
