Ingredients to make Alu hare pyaz ki sabzi(Spring onions and potato stir fry)

  • Potatoes- 4
  • Spring onions- 4-5
  • Green chilly-1 chopped
  • Ghee- 2 tbsp
  • Cumin seeds- 1/2 tsp
  • Turmeric powder- 1/4 tsp
  • Garam masala- 1/2 tsp
  • Salt to taste

How to make Alu hare pyaz ki sabzi(Spring onions and potato stir fry)

  1. Boil the potatoes. Cool, peel and chop into squares.Wash and clean spring onions, separate the bulb and greens, chop both finely.
  2. Heat ghee in a heavy bottom pan, add the cumin and the spring onion white part(bulb). Saute till brown, add the potatoes and stir.
  3. After a few seconds, add in the turmeric, green chilli, garam masala and salt. Keep stirring continuously for a couple of seconds, switch off and serve hot garnished with some of the spring onion greens. Goes well with rotis.

My Tip:

Squeeze half a lemon on top for a tangy taste.
