Malai Sandwich

Ingredients to make Malai Sandwich

  • 1 litre cows milk
  • 1 bowl sugar
  • 3 glasses of water
  • 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder
  • few strands of saffron
  • 1 teaspoon of vinegar
  • fresh cream 50 grams
  • mawa 50 grams
  • powdered sugar 25 grams

How to make Malai Sandwich

  1. Keep milk for boiling.
  2. As it comes to boiling point add vinegar.
  3. Milk will curdle.
  4. Throw out the green whey.
  5. Take paneer in muslin cloth.
  6. Wash it 2-3 times with cold water.
  7. Squeeze extra water and mash paneer with your palms.
  8. Mash till it turns like dough.
  9. Make square shape.
  10. Add water to sugar and keep for boiling.
  11. When it comes to boiling point add square shape sandwich.
  12. Cover the lid and keep flame high for 15 minutes.
  13. Now make flame slow and boil another 5 minutes.
  14. Let it cool down completely.
  15. Add cardamom powder.
  16. Now in other pan add mawa.
  17. Keep flame slow.
  18. Add cream.
  19. Mix it.
  20. Consistency should not be watery it should be like paste.
  21. Cut sandwich from middle.
  22. Cut them gently sometimes they might break.
  23. Now apply mawa paste in one part.
  24. Cover it with other part.
  25. Garnish with silver varq and saffron strands.
  26. Keep in fridge for half an hour.
  27. Serve chilled.
